How to estimate and fine-tune crosslink density for the optimum performance
Talk Abstract:
In demanding industrial and marine applications, epoxy and thermoset coatings must demonstrate exceptional chemical and thermal resistance along with superior mechanical strength.
A key method for achieving this is by maximizing the crosslink density of the coating. This presentation will cover the fundamentals of crosslink density—how it’s calculated, measured, and optimized.
A case study will highlight how small changes in molecular geometry can significantly influence coating properties by altering crosslink density.

Epoxy Systems for Enhanced Protective and Marine Coatings
Talk Abstract:
Westlake Epoxy is a domestic manufacturer of epoxy resins, curing agents, and reactive modifiers (diluents)—a key advantage in today’s globally disrupted supply chains.
Epoxy systems offer outstanding adhesion, chemical, thermal, and corrosion resistance, making them essential for protective and marine coatings.
To push performance boundaries, multifunctional epoxy resins, high-performance reactive diluents, and specialty curing agents are used to boost crosslink density.
This talk will highlight multiple resin and curing agent systems and introduce innovative epoxy technologies that elevate final coating performance.
